Why Gisele Bündchen Was ‘Longing For Someone Normal’ After Tom Brady Split
Gisele Bündchen was SO done with Tom Brady by the time they split!
A source spoke to US Weekly on Wednesday and revealed that these two have finally put everything behind them and are moving on. Speaking of the former quarterback, the insider said:
“Tom is genuinely enjoying this chapter. He sees himself as a single dad who finally has some freedom and is enjoying his life without overthinking it.”
But what about Gisele? Sounds like she’s glad her ex is off having fun and leaving her to her new life!
A second source said she’s still modeling from time to time, “but for the most part, she’s happy being at home” with her hubby Joaquim Valente. She’s also focusing on her kids, the baby boy she shares with her hubby, as well as her two she shares with Tom, Benjamin Rein and Vivian Lake:
“Gisele’s life now is much more private. It’s more in line with who she is. It’s a life she dreamed of. She always envisioned this slower-paced lifestyle for herself and her children, surrounded by nature and removed from ‘the business.’ She’s at peace.”
A third insider said when she divorced from Tom, Gisele “felt so broken down by the emotional roller coaster of trying to make [her marriage] work, then realizing it was over and finally separating her family”:
“Tom didn’t want to get divorced, and he was heartbroken about it, but he wasn’t ready to [wind down] the way Gisele wanted to, which is pretty evident now.”

We all remember how messy it got! But even then, they seem to be cooperating with each other these days, per the source. They’ve pretty much gone their separate ways aside from coparenting:
“Tom and Gisele only communicate when it comes to the kids. The dust has settled, but he tries not to meddle in her personal life. He hears things from the kids here and there, but tries to stay neutral. They have a good coparenting schedule … Tom and Gisele shared some mutual friends from the time they were married, but she doesn’t really socialize with them anymore. Her life has really changed. They share children and will always have that connection, but the divorce was not easy for either of them.”
Gisele isn’t worried about checking the news for updates on Tom, either:
“Gisele doesn’t care about who Tom’s dating. She’s all about letting go. As long as Tom’s making the kids a priority when he has them, she’s not concerned.”
Plus, everything is just so much better with Joaquim, according to the insider:
“They’re much more of a match than she was with Tom. Gisele works in a glamorous environment, but she isn’t a huge fan of the pomp and circumstance that come with stardom. She was longing for someone normal. Gisele feels very supported by Joaquim. That was something that was missing at the end of her marriage to Tom.”
Longing for someone “normal” says A LOT right there!! She made it clear she was ready for a family man, not a football man — and that’s what she got.
Luckily, it sounds like Tom is fully letting go now, after a tough “transition,” per the first source:
“Tom and Gisele grew apart. They are different people, and they have completely different lifestyles. It was a hard transition, but Tom has a rhythm and a routine down now. And he’s genuinely happy for Gisele.”
