Jenelle Evans’ Mom Barbara’s 911 Call Audio Released From 16-Year-Old Jace’s Gun Incident — Listen HERE
[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]
This is one of those stories that sits so heavy.
New audio has been released from the terrifying 911 call placed by Teen Mom 2 alum Barbara Evans during that deeply troubling incident involving her teenage grandson Jace last month. And now, actually hearing the 911 call for the first time makes everything feel even more real… and even more heartbreaking.
Of course, as you’ll recall, we had already learned some of the details about what allegedly happened that day. But the raw emotion in Barbara’s voice brings a whole new layer of pain to the situation, as the actual audio of the call itself has just now been obtained by TMZ on Wednesday afternoon.
In the recording, Barbara can be heard urgently pleading with dispatchers to send help to her home in North Carolina, explaining that her 16-year-old grandson was out of control, damaging property, and in serious distress. At one point, she described the moment that clearly pushed her to make the call, saying that Jace had a gun to his head and was threatening to end his life.
Whoa.
As the call continues, we can actually hear Barbara’s composure break into fear and desperation as she tells the operator that Jace is screaming and acting violently toward her. But even while begging for help, she expressed concern about how Jenelle’s son might react when authorities arrive, worrying that their presence could escalate things further or lead to more destruction in the home. It’s truly the kind of panic no family member ever wants to experience.
The incident, which took place back on February 22, ultimately resulted in Jace being placed in a mental health facility, where he is reportedly still receiving care. There have also been whispers about possible substance use leading up to the situation, though those details remain unclear and sensitive.
Through it all, Barbara has made one thing clear: she is not giving up on her grandson. She’s reportedly preparing to go to court in hopes of regaining custody and helping him through what is clearly a very serious chapter in his life.
