FKA Twigs SUES Shia LaBeouf Over NDA In Sexual Battery Settlement!
More legal issues are coming for Shia LaBeouf.
As we’re sure you know, FKA Twigs was in a very tumultuous relationship with the actor for less than a year back in 2018. They’d met on the set of the movie Honey Boy, and started seeing each other — but then after their romance ended the singer sued Shia. In December 2020, she filed a lawsuit against him, alleging domestic abuse, torment, and sexual battery after knowingly giving her an STI.
Now, this lawsuit was settled in summer 2025 out of court — but this NEW lawsuit is bringing up that settlement. Twigs says she wants “to right a wrong, and also on behalf of other women who are the victims of sexual and domestic violence who do not have the resources to speak out and defend themselves from predators”.
But what brought this up? The 38-year-old claims in her filings their settlement’s NDA goes against California’s Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act. She says the NDA invalidates parts of the confidentiality provisions set up in settlements like this one.

She’s also alleging Shia filed an arbitration complaint against her in December behind her back. He alleged in the complaint the things she was telling news outlets went against the NDA she signed during their settlement. The comments he’s referencing are seemingly from a Hollywood Reporter interview she did back in October 2025 where she said:
“No, I wouldn’t say I feel safe [with the 2020 lawsuit behind me]. I feel really passionate about being involved with organizations such as Sistah Space and No More, to help survivors in any way that I can. I think it’s less about me at this point and more about looking forward. Just, you know, moving on with my life.”
Because of these comments, Shia is allegedly seeking an “exorbitant” amount of money — so her lawsuit is fighting that. She believes the NDA terms from the settlement are actually void under the Stand Together Against Non-Disclosure Act.
In her suit, Twigs said she “seeks to to ensure that survivors of sexual misconduct are not bullied or silenced like she was”. She also said Shia’s complaint is nothing but a “campaign of intimidation and abuse of the legal system” that “denigrates” her and every other survivor of sexual abuse in California.
