It was a morning to mark your calendars! Awards season is already taking shape for the years ahead, as the Actor Awards officially announced its ceremony dates for 2027 and 2028—continuing its partnership with Netflix as the show’s exclusive streaming home.
The 33rd Annual Actor Awards, presented by SAG-AFTRA, will stream live on Sunday, February 28, 2027, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The following year, the 34th Annual ceremony is set for Sunday, February 20, 2028, further cementing the show’s place as a key early milestone in the awards season calendar.

Often regarded as one of the most meaningful honors in the industry, the Actor Awards stand apart as the only major televised ceremony dedicated exclusively to celebrating performers in both film and television. With winners chosen by fellow actors from SAG-AFTRA’s membership of more than 160,000, the awards carry a unique peer-driven prestige that frequently positions them as a strong predictor heading into the Oscars.
Since its debut in 1995, the show has built a reputation for its intimate tone, streamlined format, and heartfelt acceptance speeches; qualities that continue to resonate with both industry insiders and audiences alike. Its signature statuette, “The Actor,” has become one of the most coveted symbols of recognition for performers across the globe.
The continued partnership with Netflix reflects the evolving landscape of live entertainment, as major awards shows increasingly embrace streaming platforms to reach broader, global audiences.
