‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Premieres in Style at Star-Studded New York Event
The fashion world—and Hollywood—turned out in full force as The Devil Wears Prada 2 made its highly anticipated world premiere at David Geffen Hall inside Lincoln Center, marking a major moment for one of the most beloved films of the 2000s.
For the first time ever, the sequel’s powerhouse ensemble reunited on the red carpet, led by Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci—the iconic quartet who originally brought Miranda Priestly, Andy Sachs, Emily Charlton, and Nigel to life.
They were joined by co-stars Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, B. J. Novak, and Patrick Brammall, along with director David Frankel, screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, and producer Wendy Finerman.
Adding to the night’s undeniable glamour, global superstar Lady Gaga made a high-profile appearance alongside fashion heavyweights like Marc Jacobs, Law Roach, Brunello Cucinelli, Heidi Klum, and Naomi Campbell; a fitting tribute to a franchise that has long sat at the intersection of film and fashion.

The premiere itself was a global event, livestreamed across Disney+, Hulu, ABC News, and TikTok, with hosts Brad Goreski, Tefi Pessoa, Deborah Roberts, and Sophie Flay giving fans a front-row seat to the red carpet spectacle.
Set two decades after the original film, The Devil Wears Prada 2 reunites audiences with the razor-sharp world of Runway Magazine and the unforgettable characters that defined a generation. Directed once again by Frankel and written by McKenna, the sequel promises a fresh chapter while honoring the legacy of the 2006 cultural phenomenon.
With its blend of returning stars, new faces, and fashion-world prestige, the sequel is poised to capture both longtime fans and a new generation of viewers.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 opens exclusively in theaters May 1.
