Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will co-headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show
The FIFA World Cup is officially getting the halftime show treatment and the lineup is massive: Madonna, Shakira, and BTS.

FIFA and Global Citizen announced that Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will co-headline the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show during the 2026 championship match on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium.
The historic performance will be curated by Chris Martin and produced in partnership with Global Citizen, bringing a Super Bowl-style entertainment spectacle to the world’s biggest sporting event for the first time ever.
According to FIFA, the halftime show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a global initiative aiming to raise $100 million to expand access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide. FIFA also confirmed that $1 from every ticket sold for the 2026 World Cup will go toward the cause. “This historic show will also shine a light on a greater purpose,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in the announcement.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across the United States (including Los Angeles), Canada, and Mexico, is already shaping up to be the biggest tournament in the event’s history with 48 teams competing across North America. The addition of a halftime show featuring three global music powerhouses signals FIFA’s push to make the final an even larger pop culture moment.
Fans online immediately exploded over the unexpected crossover lineup, with social media buzzing about everything from BTS’ long-awaited return to the global stage to Shakira once again becoming part of World Cup history after the iconic “Waka Waka” era. Madonna’s inclusion also marks another major milestone in the pop legend’s decades-long career.
