Unsettling MTV Movie Awards Footage Of Diddy & Daveigh Chase Goes Viral Again Following The Former Child Actor’s Untimely Death
An MTV Movie Awards video that originally went viral at the height of Diddy‘s scandal is once again making its rounds.
In case you don’t remember, back in 2024 a clip from the 2003 MTV Movie Awards sent chills across the internet. It was right in the middle of all the Diddy accusations, the investigation was heating up, and the clip showed the rapper and Ashton Kutcher presenting the now-late Daveigh Chase with an award. In the video, Daveigh wins the Best Villain award for her work in The Ring as Samara — but her role wasn’t the only eerie thing.
In the video, Ashton and Diddy can be seen going over to Daveigh during her award acceptance and touching her to encourage her. It might’ve seemed innocent then, but with all the allegations against coming out about Diddy then, people got the ick! The most disturbing part, though, might be the end of the footage.

After her speech, the group was filmed behind-the-scenes, and that’s when Diddy was heard asking a then-13-year-old Daveigh if she’d be “comin’ to the after party.” Now, again, this video resurfaced at a time when Diddy’s infamous “White Parties” were under major scrutiny as allegations of sexual misconduct were coming out left and right. Laughing and getting a little too close for comfort, many internet users thought Diddy seemed way too enthusiastic about inviting a 13-year-old to an AFTER PARTY.
He leans in, looks down at her, and says:
“You comin’ to the after party?”
And when she nods to communicate a “yes,” Diddy unleashes what could be described as a creepy laugh and shouts out, “yeahhhh!”

We don’t know if Daveigh ever did attend any after party. It seems clear to us she was just being polite when she nodded and not actually committing to any plans. After all, she was 13. She likely just went back home with her mom. Still, it’s unsettling to even witness the interaction, and across social media, users have reacted:
“Just a reminder that Daveigh Chase was invited by Diddy to one of his nefarious parties when she was just a child.”
“There’s so many people who could’ve presented Daveigh with that MTV Movie Award back in 2003 … anybody but f**king DIDDY.”
