Amy Schumer Makes Heartbreaking But Real AF Valentine’s Day Post After Divorce From Chris Fischer
Valentine’s Day hits very differently when you’re newly single, and Amy Schumer is not pretending otherwise.
The 44-year-old funnywoman took to Instagram Stories on Saturday to let fans know she’s embracing the feels instead of fighting them — and honestly, we kind of love her for it.

The I Feel Pretty star shared a snapshot of herself tucked into what she labeled a “Crying Corner.” Behind her was a pastel, multi-colored banner literally spelling it out, plus a strategically placed tissue box and full water bottles ready for hydration between sob sessions. E
ver the comedian, she managed a soft smile for the camera, rocking a full face of makeup and her hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail. If you’re going to cry, you might as well serve a look, right? Over the photo, she wrote:
“Give yourself all the love today. Happy vday.”

Oof. Simple. Sweet. And very real.
Of course, this Valentine’s Day comes on the heels of her split from husband Chris Fischer. The Trainwreck actress filed for divorce in January after seven years of marriage, following a December announcement that they had decided to go their separate ways. At the time, she kept things candid but compassionate, making it clear there was still love and respect between them as they focus on raising their son, Gene.
Now, instead of couple’s roses and candlelit dinners, Amy is giving herself permission to cry it out… and encouraging others to do the same.
If this is Amy’s single era, she’s entering it with honesty, humor, and waterproof mascara. Sending love and light throughout!!!
