Britney Spears’ Friend Shares Her Texts After DUI Arrest As He Urges Her To Make THIS ‘Change’!
Britney Spears‘ pal wants everyone to know that she is doing okay for now.
Two days after her DUI arrest, her friend and former assistant, Sean Phillip, gave an update on the pop star during an appearance on Good Morning Britain on Friday. He claimed Britney allowed him to talk about the situation and share their text exchange, saying:
“All I texted her was, ‘Are you OK?’ and she said, ‘I’m OK.’ And I said, ‘Do you mind if I speak about this?’ And she said, ‘Go ahead.’ And that’s that.”
Although Sean has “anxiety” over doing interviews about the pop star, he felt the need to speak out now because he wants “the world to know” that she is “such a great person.” He added:
“And we all make mistakes.”

According to Sean, they have known each other “for almost 24 years” and speak “almost every other day” — so he knows her very well, which is why the arrest came as a surprise to him:
“I love her. She’s such a strong person. And so, just as everyone else was surprised with this instance happening, I was as well. But it’s not her character. She’s just a lovely, lovely, lovely person.”
Following her arrest, he wants to “protect her no matter what cause she’s not a harmful person.” He continued:
“It makes me feel bad when she has to endure public mistakes.”
However, he does feel she needs to do something else in her life now. When asked about her manager’s statement that he hopes the DUI will lead to a long “overdue change,” Sean replied:
“The change I would like to see is [for her to] get out of Los Angeles. But I’ve been talking to her weekly, daily, and she is the same Britney I knew from 2003. There’s no disassociation that I have with her character or personality. But you have to think about these things … who else is she associating with and so on.”
We heard she has been hanging around some “shady characters” lately, so perhaps he’s right! All anyone wants is the best for Britney, so maybe she does need a break from El Lay and to get the help she needs! Watch the entire interview (below):
