Chuck Norris’ Family BLASTS ‘False & Misleading’ AI Posts About His Death

Chuck Norris‘ family is calling out AI-generated posts about his death.

On the late actor’s Instagram Stories Wednesday, his loved ones made it known they’re aware of “false and misleading” AI-generated posts regarding Chuck’s health and passing:

“We are aware that since Chuck’s passing, there have been a number of AI-generated videos and posts circulating online that contain false and misleading information regarding the circumstances of his passing, his health history, and who was present.”

The statement continued:

“These claims are entirely untrue. This includes fabricated reports of past medical issues, as well as false narratives surrounding family relationships. We kindly ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official family representative.”

Wrapping up, the family said:

“Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.”

You’ve definitely seen this style of post before if you’re on any type of social media, especially Facebook. The posts feature a celeb — usually AI-generated next to other celebs — and some sort of clickbait statement. While the family didn’t specifically address the exact posts they were concerned about, ones making the rounds online include stars like Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others, attending Chuck’s funeral.

Most recently, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton were victims of the same type of AI hoax.

Good reminder to always be vigilant with anything you see online, especially after the rise of AI! We continue to send our love to Chuck’s family. How frustrating that they have to worry about this while mourning.

R.I.P.
