Demi Lovato Reveals Unusual Marriage Trick That Helps Avoid Conflict With Jutes — Have U Ever Heard Of This?!
Demi Lovato and her husband Jutes have such a unique way they resolve conflict! And honestly, it’s pretty cool!
While chatting with Drew Barrymore on Monday’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Demi opened up a little bit about her marriage to the rocker, and gushed:
“[Married life] is so much fun. You know, we just laugh and laugh and laugh together. We have such a great connection, and I joke that we could watch paint dry and still be entertained with one another.”
Aww!
How sweet!
She and her husband, whose real name is Jordan Lutes, are going to be celebrating their one year anniversary in May, so they’ve def learned a thing or two. But what’s really interesting is the fictional character that they made up to settle arguments. Yes, really!

The Camp Rock alum explained:
“We have this fictional character named Luigi. If Luigi didn’t take out the trash, I gently nudge my husband and say, ‘Babe, Luigi didn’t take out the trash. What are we gonna do about that?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, you know what? Darn, Luigi! Let me get on that’.”
Too funny! And honestly kinda smart! LOLz!
Demi continued:
“It’s just, like, a gentle approach to say, ‘Babe, can you do the dishes?’ or ‘Can you do something?’ It takes the blame out of coming to someone with blame or an attack.”
She admitted that she stole the idea from an Instagram post she saw. But even with their unique ways of handling their relationship, “learning how to communicate with one another” just came “naturally” to them. She said:
“I’ve had the toxic stuff in the past that I don’t want or need anymore. This is my forever relationship, and I want to treat that with as much grace and compassion as possible.”
