It Gets WORSE! The New Interim Attorney General Wants DOJ To STOP Focusing On Epstein Files!

Don’t expect Pam Bondi‘s temporary replacement to put any more time and energy into the Epstein files.

As you likely know, Donald Trump fired the Attorney General this week. She is starting a new position in the private sector, which she is supposedly “thrilled” about. And stepping into her place for the time being is Todd Blanche, who served as the deputy attorney general under Bondi after working as the president’s attorney in the hush-money trial with Stormy Daniels.

One of the biggest issues many people, from both sides, had with Bondi is her alleged mishandling of the files relating to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Unsurprisingly, however, Blanche is defending how the Justice Department executed the release of the documents, while also arguing that the administration will not be focusing on them moving forward! WTF!

When asked on Fox NewsJesse Watters Primetime on Thursday if he agreed the Epstein files were not handled well, the acting attorney general said:

“First of all, I have never heard President Trump say the attorney general was — anything that happened to her had anything to do with the Epstein files. … The Department of Justice has now released all of the files with respect to the Epstein saga. The attorney general and I appeared in front of Congress voluntarily a couple of weeks ago to answer any questions they had. And so I think that to the extent that the Epstein files was a part of the past year of this Justice Department, it should not be a part of anything going forward.”

First off, the survivors deserve justice. They deserve more care and attention to this very serious matter that the DOJ hasn’t given them so far. So, no, this can’t be swept under the rug — though that is exactly what POTUS seemingly wants. Even Annie Farmer, who accused Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of sexually abusing her when she was only 16, called for an investigation into these crimes to continue following Bondi’s removal:

“This is not about a single person; it is about a government and judicial system that has repeatedly failed Epstein survivors. Regardless of who holds power, survivors deserve accountability, transparency, protection from retaliation, and assurance that those who enabled Epstein, Maxwell, and others will be investigated and, if appropriate, prosecuted.”

The DOJ cannot leave the Epstein files in the past anyway because they have not released all the documents. Only 3.5 million of the more than 6 million pages the department says it has dropped so far, as of January 30! As Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie warned after Bondi’s dismissal:

“Congratulations AG Blanche. Now you have 30 days to release the rest of the files before becoming criminally liable for failure to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.”

The DOJ argued the remaining files don’t meet the criteria for release under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Considering they were previously accused of illegally withholding documents, specifically about Trump sexually assaulting a minor, who knows if anyone can really trust that excuse. But Blanche continued to defend the administration:

“There’s only one president that’s held Mr. Epstein accountable, and that’s Donald J. Trump during his first administration. That was the administration that prosecuted him. It’s this administration, it’s the administration that’s been totally transparent and released all the files.”

That is not true. As we mentioned before, they have not released all the files. Watters, who is normally very pro-Trump, laughed and shook his head afterward, saying:

“I’m not sure you totally get what people feel about that, but I want to move on.”

Has this administration ever really understood (or cared) about how the people feel about this issue? Are we really shocked by Blanche’s answer? Not really, quite frankly. Watch Blanche talk about the Epstein files (below):
