Jennifer Lopez Details ‘Tough Time’ After Marc Anthony Split — Says She Was ‘About To Give Up On It All’
Jennifer Lopez was really going through it during her divorce from Marc Anthony!
During her Up All Night Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, the 56-year-old singer opened up about the split from her third hubby back in 2014, saying it was “actually a really tough time.” Things got so bad, in fact, she said that she “was really about to give up on it all.” Whoa. J.Lo continued:
“I mean, I was a single mom with two 3-year-old twins.”

However, she then received one piece of advice from one of her mentors, the late author Louise Hay, that got her through the difficult time. Jennifer recalled:
“She said to me, ‘Jennifer, you’re a dancer, right?’ I said, ‘Yes, I am.’ And she said, ‘When you’re learning a dance, and you get the steps wrong, what do you do?’ I said, ‘I just keep going until I get the steps right.’ And she said, ‘That’s right, Jennifer. Always keep dancing.’”
The Hustlers actress has carried the tip with her to this day and now hopes others do too. She continued:
“And I wish the same for each and every one of you, that no matter what life throws at you, that you dance and you dance and you dance. Again and again and again.”
