Love On The Spectrum’s Connor & Georgie Broke Up Off Camera — Now His Mom Explains Why!

Love On The Spectrum fans will never see the end of this love story.

Fans know that Connor Tomlinson joined the series during Season 2 to chronicle his journey to find love. He struck up a romance with Georgie Harris for the next two seasons, but they ultimately broke up off-camera during the most recent season. Yeah, sadly, another Love On The Spectrum couple sadly bites the dust! No one will get to watch it, however, which was a “conscious decision” by Connor and his mom, Lise Smith, for their privacy. She explained during an episode of her podcast Talk to Me Sis on April 2:

“That was sort of at our request. We really, really want to be authentic and tell the true story… but I felt like this was a private moment that didn’t need to be consumed.”

Lise said Connor initiated the breakup, which took place in July 2025, following a trip the former couple took in London. Apparently, that trip made Connor realize he and Georgie were not each other’s person. Lise also noted that it was mainly the physical distance between the pair and their opposing ideas about intimacy:

“He wants an adult connection, and I think the trip to England really shined a light on where Georgie is on her journey and where she is in life, and where Connor is. And even though they were attracted to each other, I think Connor wanted to go a little bit deeper and have more handholding, maybe more of a physical relationship, and that maybe wasn’t where Georgie was.”

Plus, Lise pointed out that the trip was “the most time they’ve spent together” since they began dating:

“You really get to know somebody when you’re doing a trip like that and by the end of the trip, Connor just came to realize, ‘Georgie is a great girl, she’s just not my girl.’”

Since Georgie possibly didn’t expect the breakup, he and Lise felt that doing it off-camera would be the best:

“I don’t necessarily know that Georgie saw that coming. I don’t think she wanted to break up. I’m not sure. So [it was] out of respect for that, but also out of respect for my son and where he was and where his heart was. I love Connor’s authenticity and honesty, and he doesn’t want to drag a girl along. It wasn’t easy for him, and he felt a lot of pain around the decision.”

Oof. Our hearts break for both of them. According to Lise, Love On The Spectrum director and producer Cian O’Clery agreed with them at the end of the day. The mother added:

“He was like, ‘Absolutely. Whatever space you need to preserve the dignity of Georgie and Connor.’”

That’s good! And even though the two are done, Lise insisted there are no hard feelings, and they still talk:

“They text. They wish nothing but the best for each other.”

We’re glad Georgie and Connor, who is unfortunately is not returning to Love On The Spectrum next season, ended on amicable terms! We are wishing them both nothing but the best during this next chapter of their lives! Watch the podcast episode (below):
