Mormon Wives Star Mayci Neeley’s 8-Month-Old Daughter Was Hospitalized! Oh No!

Mayci Neeley just had a major scare with her 8-month-old daughter!

Taking to Instagram Stories on Thursday, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star revealed her baby girl, Charli, had been hospitalized! OMG! She began the post, which featured a picture of her little one and husband Jacob Neeley in the hospital:

“Wanted to give an update for awareness bc trusting my instincts was absolutely crucial.”

Mayci explained that she started “having an anxious, sick feeling about Charli” toward the end of a work meeting on Wednesday, adding:

“Our nanny was holding her and I could tell just by touching her that her temp was high.”

When the reality star took Charli’s temperature, she learned it was at 102 degrees, and her daughter became “lethargic.” Mayci also noticed Charli’s stomach was oddly contracting when she put her down and watched her breathe. That was when the couple decided to take their baby to a nearby hospital for the “suction clinic” their pediatrician recommended. While there, the doctors “sucked her nose,” “listened to her breathing,” and determined “she sounded wheezy.” Mayci shared that they then suggested she undergo a breathing treatment to help.

Not only was baby Charli having breathing issues, but the doctors found she had a double ear infection. Oof. According to the post, they advised Mayci and Jacob to go to the ER side of the hospital to get her checked out further and get the treatment, which involved steroids and antibiotics.

Ultimately, after going back and forth, Mayci said the doctors admitted Charli into the hospital overnight to continue to monitor her oxygen levels. She continued:

“The anxiety & stress and sadness I felt was unreal. But ultimately I felt so grateful I trusted my instincts! The doctor kept telling me ‘You did the right thing by coming in,’ which reassured me.”

Thankfully, Charli is doing better! She has been discharged but needs to be on oxygen while resting for the time being:

“We are home and Charli girl finally smiled for the first time in a few days which makes me feel like she’s finally feeling better.”

Good to hear! Mayci concluded her post, urging parents to trust their gut no matter what:

“I wanted to tell this story because I trusted my intuition and gut and it was completely right and crucial. So mamas/parents — trust your intuition!! I honestly didn’t really realize how bad she was struggling until the hospital so I’m so so so grateful we took her in. I was also supposed to be in New York for work yesterday and cancelled that trip a few days ago. Call it divine intervention or coincidence but I do think everything happens for a reason.”
