P!NK To Host The 79th Annual Tony Awards

Multi-Grammy-winning global icon P!NK has officially been tapped to host the 79th Annual Tony Awards, bringing her signature powerhouse energy to the iconic ceremony this summer.

The 2026 Tony Awards will take place live from Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, airing coast-to-coast on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

“It is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest working people in showbiz,” P!NK said in a statement, calling Broadway a formative influence on her own live performances and creative process.

Though she has never appeared on Broadway herself, the singer joked that she initially questioned whether she was qualified for the gig—until receiving enthusiastic approval from her daughter, Willow. “I’m really, really excited and very nervous because that girl is a tough crowd,” she added.

Tony Awards producers and Broadway leadership praised the choice, noting P!NK’s global fanbase, fearless stage presence, and deep appreciation for live performance as reasons she is uniquely positioned to bring fresh energy to the telecast.

The hosting announcement marks a major crossover moment between the worlds of pop music and theater, though P!NK already has ties to Broadway—her songs “Raise Your Glass” and “F**kin’ Perfect” are currently featured in the hit musicals Moulin Rouge! The Musical and & Juliet, respectively.

One of the best-selling artists of her generation, P!NK has sold more than 60 million album equivalents worldwide and recently wrapped her blockbuster Summer Carnival Tour, which became one of the highest-grossing tours ever by a female artist.

With Broadway continuing to expand its cultural reach, P!NK’s appointment signals an effort to bring even more mainstream excitement to the Tony Awards— and perhaps a few new theater fans along the way!

Pre-sale tickets are available now exclusively to eligible Capital One Mastercard ticketholders on  Ticketmaster , and will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, April 15.
