Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Blast New Royal Book, Says It’s Filled With ‘Deranged’ Conspiracy Theories!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle clapped back at allegations about them in a new book!
The Times released excerpts from author Tom Bower’s upcoming book Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family on Friday, which touches on the nasty feud between the Sussexes and the royal family. In it, the writer claimed Prince William warned his younger brother that the romance was moving “too quickly” before their engagement in 2017. Meanwhile, Princess Catherine allegedly felt Harry might be vulnerable to Meghan’s influence — and she wasn’t the only one.
Those fears, according to Bower’s sources, came true. Harry allegedly started ignoring his friends and even changed his number without telling his family. All of which led Queen Camilla to allegedly tell a friend that Meghan “brainwashed” him.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be used to these kinds of accusations by now. It’s nothing new. However, what Bower said seems to have ticked off Meghan and Harry this time enough for them to respond! Their spokesperson slammed the author in a statement to People on Saturday, accusing him of pushing “deranged” conspiracy theories about them:
“Mr. Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself. He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”
Elsewhere in the book, Bower claimed former Invictus Foundation chief Dominic Reid became concerned the competitors were being overshadowed by Meghan and Harry amid poor event attendance and orchestrated photo ops. He allegedly thought the sport turned into “the Harry and Meghan show.” However, a spokesperson for the Invictus Games Foundation slammed the claim to Page Six on Saturday:
“It is disappointing to see The Times give prominence to commentary that appears driven by a long-established agenda rather than a genuine understanding of the Invictus Games and the community it supports. The Foundation exists to support the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans from around the world. Attempts to question the legitimacy of competitors or diminish the experiences of those living with both physical injuries and invisible wounds such as PTSD are deeply disrespectful to the men and women the Games were created for. The focus should remain where it belongs – on the courage, recovery and camaraderie of those who have served.”
