REVEALED: tWitch’s Mom Was Fighting Allison Holker In Court After Being ‘Cut Off’ From Grandkids Following Ellen Show Star’s Shocking Death
The drama between Stephen “tWitch” Boss‘ mom and Allison Holker is messier than anyone realized!
According to Dailymail.com on Wednesday, Connie Boss Alexander sued the 38-year-old ballroom dancer last year, claiming she had been “cut off” from her three grandchildren, Maddox, 9, Zaia, 6, and Weslie, 17, whom tWitch adopted. She claimed she was fearful her relationship with her grandkids would “deteriorate,” leaving a “permanently disrupted” family bond.
Perezcious readers know there has been bad blood between Allison and Stephen’s family ever since she released a memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss and Embracing the Light, where she exposed a lot of jaw-dropping secrets about her late husband, including that she discovered a “cornucopia of drugs” in his belongings after he died by suicide in 2022. Connie and her loved ones felt the Dancing With The Stars alum not only blindsided them by dropping a book but also accused her of “cherry-picking” what to reveal about Stephen.

Now, it appears Connie continues to have issues with Allison — this time, regarding the kids. Dailymail.com reported that in September 2025, she filed a Petition for Grandparent Visitation against the reality star. She claimed the relationship with her grandchildren ended following tWitch’s death — a “unilateral and retaliatory decision” made by Allison. And Connie is not the only one cut off! Stephen’s other family members haven’t been able to see or talk to the kids, either! She wrote in the filing:
“Unfortunately, shortly following my son’s passing, [Allison] refused to allow me or any other members of our family to communicate with or see the Minor Children. My hope is that this Court can grant me limited grandparent visitation in a way that neither infringes on [Allison’s] autonomy or disrupts their life. I believe it in the best interests of the Children to continue to have a relationship with their father’s family, especially now that he is no longer present in their lives.”
Connie explained that tWitch was the “primary point of contact” connecting her with Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia while she lived in Arizona and the kids lived in California at the time. However, she alleged that “after Stephen passed, things changed,” and she no longer had frequent contact with the kids, including via phone calls, FaceTime, text, or social media, which used to take place “multiple times per week.” Connie insisted she tried to remain in touch, but Allison distanced herself once the family started to call her out for tarnishing The Ellen DeGeneres Show alum’s legacy:
“I did my best during that first year to stay in touch and maintain some consistency, especially for the sake of the Children. But it became difficult as Respondent (Allison) began distancing herself, often expressing frustration over public comments she believed our family should have addressed. At times, contact would be cut off altogether and only resumed after I reached out repeatedly. Over time, our communication became increasingly infrequent, and at this point, we’re no longer in contact despite my numerous attempts.”
Oof…
In Allison’s defense, we don’t know about the two younger kids, but Weslie made it clear she did not want a relationship with Stephen’s family because she felt “disrespected by them” amid the book controversy. The teen previously explained on social media:
“They’ve gone on social media saying that ‘Blood’s thicker than water,’ and that’s a direct [hit to] me and my mom. And if you don’t see me as Stephen’s daughter, that’s cool, take it how you want. I know for a fact that’s never how he saw it, and it’s literally just hurtful. … I’ve slowly started to remove myself from [them] because they don’t make me feel comfortable, and my mom’s the one making the effort and feeling like it’s a need and a necessity to see them because she cares.”
So, if Connie hasn’t heard from Weslie, it’s probably because she wants nothing to do with her or anyone else from Stephen’s side anymore. It’s sad, but can you blame her? They were publicly trash-talking her mom, and the comment “Blood’s thicker than water” obviously hurt her.
Since Connie sued Allison, they reportedly have gone back and forth through their lawyers for months over the situation. The former Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings host fired back at her mother-in-law, accusing her of lying. Allison alleged she “facilitated phone calls, FaceTime calls and visits with [Connie] and the children” and even “invited [Connie] to see the children.” However, she claimed Connie “declined the invitation.”
Connie, for her part, addressed the accusation in a filing on January 26, 2026, saying she was only invited to see the kids on two occasions last year – once in February to read Stephen’s journals and another time after Allison’s lawyers informed her of the lawsuit. The backup dancer argued that she asked Connie on “numerous occasions,” including on Grandparents’ Day at Maddox’s school in May 2025, to visit, but she refused because she couldn’t take off from work. Allison further claimed she has “numerous texts and phone records” to prove it. And yes, she dropped them in the filing! In one text sent by Allison to Connie, she wrote:
“I have never hindered you from seeing the kids… Despite the continual public narrative to the contrary, the door has always been open to you anytime you want to visit. I think it’s also important to acknowledge that we’ve received no phone calls, FaceTimes, text messages, emails or any sort of invitation for the kids and me to see you in Arizona, which we are also happy to consider.”
Connie then responded:
“As I’ve shared from the beginning, you and the children have always been welcome to visit in Arizona. That has never changed. It was disappointing to receive a letter from your attorney stating that you’ve moved on, and to learn of your relocation without any type of communication.”
That’s another issue Stephen’s mother has! She had no idea Allison and the children moved from California to Utah last year!
In Allison’s response filing on February 2, she claimed Connie only called the kids once in 2025 before filing the petition. It happened on March 27, according to Allison, “when she called to wish Maddox happy birthday.” And if Connie reached out afterward, the performer believes the kids would have told her about the move. She added in the court document:
“If Connie had called to speak to the children between April and September 2025 the children would likely have told her about our move as they were very excited about it and told everyone. At all times Connie has had all of the children’s contact information, including my telephone number and email and my assistant’s email and telephone number.”
Allison probably should have given Connie a heads-up, regardless of how their relationship has been over the past few years! It’s not the kids’ responsibility to inform their grandmother about a move! Don’t you think? Because now the move is a big point of contention between the two women, which could have been resolved with a simple text from Allison!
In the court docs, they’re also fighting over the date she moved the kids to Utah. Public records indicate that Allison sold her Studio City home in September 2025 for $4.75 million — months after putting it up for sale in April. Connie claimed her daughter-in-law never informed her of the move to Utah and that she only found out through her Instagram in August 2025, but she had no clue if it was “permanent or temporary.” The mom continued:
“I was unaware that [Allison] had purchased a permanent residence in Utah until attempts to personally serve her were made in September 2025 after the filing of my Petition. At that time, I learned that Respondent purchased a custom-built home in Alpine, Utah for approximately $5.5 million dollars. Contrary to [Allison’s] claims, public records reflect that the property was not acquired until July 3.”
Throwing shade at Allison, Connie noted the television personality can afford the litigation since she “maintains an affluent lifestyle, as evidenced by her purchase of a $5.5 million custom-built residence and her frequent international travel, which includes traveling on private jets and visiting five-star hotels.” Allison then clapped back on February 2, saying she purchased the Utah home in March 2025. However, she didn’t move in until the kids finished school in June 2025. Allison also pointed out that the January 2026 photo of her trip to Dubai was a birthday gift from her now fiancé, Edmunds. She even attached her plane ticket to the suit as proof.

But why fight about the move? Well, Allison’s lawyer is trying to get Connie’s lawsuit thrown out due to lack of jurisdiction in California. Stephen’s mom argued she only filed in The Golden State because “the Children had lived in California for their entire lives prior to the move” and she “believed in good faith that this Court retained jurisdiction to issue orders concerning the Minor Children.”
Ultimately, Allison won. In a February 11 filing, the court dismissed the case for lack of jurisdiction:
“The Court finds California lacks personal and subject matter jurisdiction over [Allison] and minor children, and order the entire action dismissed.”
It is unknown if Connie plans to re-file the suit in another state. Connie’s attorney told Dailymail.com:
“I’m not at liberty to discuss my client’s case.”
We’ll see if Connie continues the legal battle, but if she wants to see her grandkids, she should probably just respect their own mother more. Just sayin! It really is so unfortunate these two can’t get along after Stephen’s death, though.
