The Trilogy Hollywood Has Been Waiting For: Conan O’Brien Hosts The Oscars….Again!

Conan O’Brien is officially returning to host the Oscars for a third consecutive year. Yes, it’s a Threequel!

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that O’Brien will once again lead Hollywood’s biggest night when the 99th Academy Awards air live on March 14, 2027.

The ceremony will broadcast from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on ABC and Hulu beginning at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.

Also returning are executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, who will oversee the Oscars telecast for the fourth consecutive year. Producers Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney are also back, with Sweeney additionally serving as a writer for the show.

Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor praised the returning creative team, calling the past two ceremonies “captivating, entertaining and heartfelt.” Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich added that O’Brien’s “singular comedic voice” has brought fresh energy to the annual awards show.

Best known for hosting Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, and Conan, O’Brien has remained a staple of comedy and television for decades. He currently hosts the popular podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend and the travel series Conan O’Brien Must Go.

The 99th Oscars will air live from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be broadcast in more than 200 territories worldwide.
